Hey guys!
.
I don’t know if you’ve checked Instagram, Snapchat, the Daily Mail or even newspapers recently, but if you have, then you should almost definitely be aware that the 2018 Met Gala, otherwise known as the Costume Institute Gala, took place this Monday just past. Alike every year, I waited eagerly to see what all the celebrities were going to wear… The theme this year was “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination”, a memo vague enough for celebrities to slip out of it but specific enough to impose about a hundred crosses on several actors, models and singers! Now that I’ve seen all the looks and have been thoroughly impressed, I’d like to officially conclude that headpieces were widely witnessed on the red carpet! Anyways, I’m here to share with you all my favourite looks from the night! Without further ado, I present to you the twenty looks that in my eyes, stunned, impressed and will be forever remembered. Enjoy!
.

.
Rihanna wearing Maison Margiela by John Galliano
First up on my list is Rihanna, who like every year, killed it on Monday with a pope-inspired dress! Short in the front and long in the back, Rihanna stayed loyal to the theme and turned heads with a silver embellished dress, jacket and skirt. Complemented with an equally-complicatedly-designed headpiece, she looked like an artisan’s masterpiece, coated from head-to-toe in jewels and diamonds!
.

.
Ariana Grande wearing Vera Wang
Not going to lie, I was quite confused when Ariana posted a picture of Michelangelo’s ‘The Last Judgment’ on Instagram a couple days back… But, as soon as she stepped out onto the red carpet, thousands understood that the post was a mere reference to her dress, a flowy ensemble with said painting all over it. Again, Ariana stood out because of how close she kept to the theme! Overall, she rocked the soft look and in doing so, offered her more subtle side to the entire public, what a treat!
.

.
Gigi Hadid wearing Versace
Definitely one of my favourite red carpet looks this year, Gigi Hadid’s shining dress paired with sleek, pulled-back hair had to make the list! She looked stunning in Versace and her nude eyeshadow and soft lipstick complemented the entire look, finishing it off with rings and a big smile!
.

.
Zoe Kravitz wearing Anthony Vaccarello for Saint Laurent
Possibly the sexiest look on the red carpet Monday night, Zoe looked remarkable in a lace, transparent dress, with a huge slit up her right leg. By keeping the rest of the look simple, Zoe kept the entire aura of her outfit very elegant and stylish. The earrings made for a classy finish and the bow detailing confirmed the youthful vibe.
.

.
Blake Lively wearing Versace
Otherwise known as the Met Gala queen, Blake Lively never fails to stun every year. Particularly this Monday, she looked insane! From her accurately themed magnificent burgundy dress to the golden crown detailing in her hair, she totally overflowed on royal vibes! Again, all her details were amazing and like every year, she stole the show!
.

.
Hailey Baldwin wearing custom Tommy Hilfiger with Tiffany & Co jewellery (with Shawn Mendes)
Hailey looked like she had just stepped out of Coachella (see my post about Coachella day 2 HERE) with bright pink hair and matching makeup, a flower crown and a loose dreamy dress! Overall, she killed it! Regardless of the outfit not being very theme-orientated, she still looked angelic and completely overdosed on love – as seen by the way she was looking at new boyfriend Shawn Mendes!
.

.
Zendaya wearing Versace with Tiffany & Co jewellery
Although Blake stole the show, Zendaya definitely stole the theme, as her Joan of Arc inspired dress perfectly suited the event and therefore set her apart from unfortunately quite a couple of guests. She was by far one of the best dressed there and looked like a true warrior! I loved the knight shoulder plates and the dazzling long silver dress! Also, her red hair suited her amazingly.
.

.
Paul Bettany wearing Ermenegildo Zegna Couture
Paul and his wife made a magical entrance at this year’s gala. From his classy all-white suit with black detailing to her similarly coloured look, the two turned heads! I loved his glasses and gentleman-like poses and she just looked so evidently happy to be there with him. Overall, the two served as a very heartwarming sight.
.

.
Katy Perry wearing Versace
Next up is Katy, who quite literally was an angel Monday night. Her gigantic white, golden and silver wings overpowered the red carpet and demonstrated how much of a queen she truly is and indefinitely always will be! The high knee boots and masculine bleached hair made the look all the more impressive and the cute golden mini dress reconfirmed the magic of it all!
.

.
Rita Ora wearing Prada
I’m absolutely in love with Rita Ora’s outfit, her black, transparent-Prada dress looked fantastic and its insanely long trail made her look beautiful! I’m obsessed with the green, pink and blue detailing all over it and the black crown too, just emphasised the gothic aspect of the look! Finally her red lipstick was perfection!
.

.
Hailee Steinfeld wearing Prabal Gurung
The actress/singer looked fabulous in her all-white look! As you should all already know, I tend to be obsessed with her red carpet looks (see my post about that HERE) and well, her look on Monday night definitely did not disappoint! Her choker and necklace were also super cute and her big smile complemented her silver crown, reinforcing my belief that she is secretly a princess!
.

.
Gisele Bundchen wearing Versace (with Tom Hardy)
Gisele looked captivating in her Versace glory dress. I loved the earrings and high cut slit! She simply glowed on the carpet and made for a nice contrast with her husband Tom, who was dressed entirely in black. Finally her makeup was as always flawless and her smile truly brightened up the room!
.

.
Scarlett Johansson wearing Marchesa
The Avengers: Infinity War actress caught my eye with her burgundy, red and cream dip-dye dress by Marchesa. My favourite thing about her look would have to be the pink pastel petals trailing at the end of her dress. She looked MARVELous! Plus her short hair was totally chic and her deep red lipstick successfully pulled the look together!
.

.
Amanda Seyfried wearing Prada
Next up on the list, is the resplendent Amanda Seyfried. Wearing a bright, yellow dress, she looked amazing and nature-like on the carpet. Her smile looked sincere and the crown on her head was so sweet. Also, her golden curls reinforced her goddess look, making her stand out in yellow, like a real Belle of the ball!
.

.
Lily Collins wearing Givenchy
Lily looked insane in her all-black outfit! Ever so slightly creepy but mostly intense, her short dress and black crowned headpiece made for a very staccato and sharp look. The jewels under her eyes representing tears worked beautifully with her sleek pulled back braid and the red-painted tear brought the whole ensemble together. I adored her originality and loved the layering of transparency in the dress!
.

.
Andrew Garfield wearing Tom Ford
Next up is another one of my male favourites, the one and only Andrew Garfield. He totally killed it in his red velvet tuxedo and bow! Looking as classy as ever…
.

.
Emily Ratajkowski wearing Marc Jacobs
Emily looked incredible during this year’s celebration at the gala. She gave me major goddess vibes with her full on gold outfit! I loved her bronzed makeup and alien-esque headpiece!
.

.
Jared Leto wearing Gucci
Moving on, Jared Leto looked fantastic and very Jesus-inspired at this year’s Met Ball. He wore a blue suit with navy lapels, as well as a pale pink shirt and a brilliant golden headpiece. He finished the look off with a floral brocade and his amazingly famous long hair!
.
Lana Del Rey wearing wearing Gucci
Posing next to Jared all night long was Lana, who like always, took the theme up a notch and went crazy! She had a halo sprouting blue wings on her head and a beautiful golden heart with knives sticking out of it on her chest! Also in Gucci, she stunned in a maxi white ethereal dress designed by Alessandro Michele. Possibly the most dramatic look of the night, Lana succeeded in making a memorable impression!
.

.
Selena Gomez wearing Coach and Tiffany & Co jewellery
And last but not least, Selena Gomez! She looked wonderful in her Coach dress and Tiffany&Co jewellery. Although she mentioned on Instagram that she didn’t love the photos of her, I thought she looked like a beautiful angel with an adorable messy bun, bronzed skin and a flowy dress! Very girl next door, very angelic and evidently, very pretty!
.
.
That’s it folks! I hope you enjoyed these twenty looks. Let me know if you would’ve chosen differently and most importantly, tell me your favourite outfit from the 2018 Met Gala! Did you like Kendall’s look? What about Bella Hadid’s? Tell me!
.
With LOVE,
.
Tiffany Lea
I like Hailee’s gown.
Zendaya was my absolute favourite, currently have a collage made around this look as my phone background haha but I have to mention Chadwick Boseman, who was a close second for me! He looked phenomenal, as well as Amber Heard!
