Two years. Wow. It’s been a whole two years since I started ZimmyLifestyle… Time has seriously just flown by! I reached my 300th post last week and now here I am, celebrating 730 days of running this blog. I still remember the day it all started like it was yesterday; thinking about it now, if I were to go back to that specific day, I would still do it all over again! From events to makeup to fashion and food, this blog has truly become my life!
.
On the 11th of May 2016, the night I created my blog, I didn’t know anything about blogging. I merely texted a friend and asked her how to create a website, she sent me a link and that’s pretty much how it all started! For the first few months it was really hard getting used to the website and well accustoming myself to the rhythm of it all. But now, two years later, I find myself interchangeable with my work and I even wake up thinking of new post ideas! At first I remember even being pretty frustrated with it all, but then like I said, I got used to it and became comfortable with the whole system. And now, again, two years later, after a lot of hard work, I’m truly glad I tried my best and well, I can almost certainly say that it paid off!
.
Over these past two years, I’ve been pouring my heart and soul into this blog and I truly hope you guys have enjoyed reading my posts! I feel like I’ve been through it all with ZimmyLifestyle, which means I’ve been through it all with you! Especially considering I made the blog at such a vulnerable point in my life, when I quit High School…
.
One of my favorite things about having my own blog is that all I have to do when in the mood for reminiscing is scroll down a page! Instead of having to rock my mind trying to remember my past, I have a virtual diary to look back on everyday! Although this ability to dive back into my archives makes me almost always nostalgic, it’s a very enjoyable nonetheless!
.
Not only do I love blogging, but also the editing of the pictures and the design of the layout make it all the more interesting! Also, through my blog, I’ve been able to meet a lot of really nice bloggers and loads of celebrities, contributing to how much of a blast this job truly is!
.
People always ask me if I get tired of blogging but honestly, it gets better everyday! From developing more thorough ideas to taking better angled pictures, I see myself improving everyday! I also learn more and more about what interests you all and what kind of posts reach more of you – which is always interesting to see!
.
Although over these past two years there have been a couple of months where I lacked imagination and couldn’t think of any post ideas so therefore posted less, there have also been overwhelmingly creative months! This contrast of creativity and interest in blogging is what keeps me going. I’m not a robot nor never will be so I think that my irregular posting patterns really demonstrate how authentic I am. I also always prioritize quality over quantity and therefore never post in excess when I’m not feeling inspired!
.
So to finish off this post, I’d like to quickly thank you all for coming along with me on this adventure. Your positive feedback on Instagram, Snapchat and my blog itself is so encouraging and honestly keeps me going! I just hope you know how much it means to me – you are my entire world!
.
And finally, just as a last little anecdote I’d really like to thank Elizabeth Weber (aka Libou). She’s pretty much been helping me since day one and is always putting hard work into editing my texts…
.
Lots of love to you all,
.
To the best two years of my life!
.
LOVE – as always,
Tiffany Lea
