Hey guys! How is it going? For today’s post, I am going to share something that I have been wanting to talk about for quite some time now, that is my list of underrated movies! I thought long and hard about whether or not I should include TV Shows in this post but I decided that I will dedicate a whole other blog post to that. Either way, here is my list of 10 movies (with a couple extra movies at the end of the post) that are underrated and so good! They vary from all genres all the way from Drama to Romance and even some animations!
This movie touched me so much and I think it is a film that really everyone should watch! It is about a dad who is struggling to make ends meet financially and he has a son, so he does everything to get money so he can make his son happy. There are points in the story where the dad is so broke that they have nowhere to live and it is so heartbreaking. This movie will definitely make you cry but it also reminds you to never give up, which I think is so important.
This is one of the saddest and most beautiful movies I have ever seen. This movie is a movie based on a child that gets cancer. I love this film because it is not the stereotypical cancer movie where two people fall in love it is more based on the relationship of two sisters. This film made me cry like I never have before. I 10/10 recommend it, just make sure to get the tissues ready!
This movie is based on the real-life story that marked me as one of my favorite movies when I was young. It is about a surfer who loses her arm in a shark attack. This movie is so emotional and inspiring!
This was a great movie. I don’t generally watch french movies, which is weird because French is my mother tongue, but I always enjoyed this beautiful story and prefer it over its remakes. If you speak french you should definitely watch this moving story about a man who cares for an old man in a wheelchair. It is funny but also very touching. If you don’t speak french I think you can find the movie online in English but it’s really nice to watch the movie in the language it was made in!
This is a fun movie about an outcast at high school that makes some new friends. The movie has some dark twists that are shocking but it truly portrays the problems young kids face at high school and childhood traumas people can have.
This movie is a romantic comedy/drama that I am obsessed with and I think everyone should watch. It’s all about love and it’s really cute and funny.
The impossible was a shocking movie about a tsunami and how a family survived it and managed to re-find each other after it had happened. This story is heartbreaking but beautiful! It’s also the first film I saw Tom Holland in, and it was in theaters haha.
I mentioned this movie in a couple posts because it’s so underrated. Starring Taron Egerton (Rocketman, Kingsman) and Hugh Jackman based on the crazy real-life story!
“Beautiful Boy” is an extremely touching movie about a boy who has a drug addiction to crystal meth and how he and his father battle this addiction together! In the movie are the amazing Timothee Chalamet and many other insane actors! A definite must watch!
“Instant Family” is a hilarious movie about parents who adopt three young children! It’s basically just a good funny movie for a Friday night! You have to watch it if you’re in the mood for a good comedy!
Here are two other movies that I have been recommended and have appeared on many, many, many posts, articles online while I did my research for this post so I would highly suggest them. First, “Winter’s Bone” (2010) which is a movie about a girl who tries to care for her siblings because her parents have many problems and “Blue Valentine” (2010) which is a romantic drama about a complicated relationship!
That’s it for today’s post! Let me know which of these movies you’ve seen and what you thought!
Lot’s of LOVE, as always,
