Hey guys! How’s it going? If you’ve seen my insanely long story on Instagram last night (or by reading the title) you should be aware that I attended an event hosted by non-other than the icon, Sir Elton John! But before that let me tell you a bit about another party that I attended a couple days prior!
.
There wasn’t enough content for me to dedicate a whole post to it but you can find a highlight on my Instagram titles “UTA” (link HERE to check it out). This was a pre-Oscar party I attended with my mom on Friday for the United Talent Agency. The party was Held at the Sunset Tower Hotel. The Place was huge yet still very nice and cozy! I bumped into Dacre Montgomery, Dylan Sprouse, and Barbara Palvin! As well as the ‘Leave No Trace’ actors, Thomasin McKenzie, Paul Rudd who was incredibly nice, Danai Gurira, Ross Butler, Rowan Blanchard, Nick Robinson and more! It was a super fun night, to say the least. People walked around the party taking Polaroids with ‘UTA Pre-Oscar Party’ engraved on them which is a really nice little souvenir. Let me know if you guys would want to hear more about it!
.
Either way, let’s go back to the morning of the BIG day, shall we? My mom and I had our hair done, she went for subtle curls and I went for an original half part braid crown. As for the makeup I went for a natural warm soft look and simple rose lipstick. My mom went for a gorgeous turquoise feather-like dress and I went for an oldie but goodie from the same brand! My Fendi dress is actually transparent at the bottom which I love, but that means I can’t forget to wear shorts underneath haha. Right after that, we had lunch, we both had avocado toasts with fresh juice (which is so healthy for me haha).
.
Then we headed to Elton’s Annual Ceremony. As soon as we arrived there we had to show our IDs and check-in our names. They gave us fabric wristbands and we were in! We walked the red carpet with, as usual, countless interviewers from Magazines like Vogue, People and more! I took some pictures on the red carpet to keep the good memories!!
.
.
After the red carpet, we went to the room which was a room filled with the art that was going to be auctioned for HIV/AIDS. Some of the art pieces they had were a Lady Gaga photograph, a pink neon sign, a painting of Queen Elizabeth II (to which she actually sat a long time for) and a few other things/experiences you could auction for!
.
We then walked into a huge open room where the cocktail party was held whilst waiting for the ceremony to start! Screens were everywhere in the room to show what was going on the red carpet at the Oscars. My mom and I first went to the bar where we both got water! I actually bumped into Charlie Carver that I know from “Teen Wolf” right there, that was super cool. As we were heading out of the bar my mom spotted a friend of hers (who has designed jewelry for Beyoncé, Cher and countless other artists and actors with her brand Stefere Jewelry). We stayed a little moment to talk with Corina (the jewelry designer) and then we walked around and ordered a bit more water.
.
.
A few moments after that we went into the other (interior) room where the cocktail party was also being held. It was very pretty! We stayed a couple minutes and then decided to head to our tables where the ceremony was held! We were table 47 and since the room wasn’t that big everyone got a great view. There was a stage at the center of the room as well as well a microphone for speeches and at least 30 TVs broadcasting the Oscars live. There were also things happening on the main stage during the breaks!
.
.
The room slowly started filling up as an announcement was made. Once everyone was there Elton John arrived to introduce the show along with his husband David Furnish! Then the Oscars started, if you’ve been following it up live you should know that when the show started Tina Fey, Maya Rudolph and Amy Poehler took to the stage to open up the Oscars (although they weren’t official hosts like all the previous years). They quickly started announcing the Oscars like Makeup and Hairstyling (“Vice”), Documentary Feature (“Free Solo”) and Actress in a Supporting Role (Regina King won for ‘If Beale Street Could Talk’ that I have yet to see)!
.
Then came a break, Elton and humanitarians working to help raise awareness and end Aids came to make a few speeches full of heartbreaking facts.
.
The Academy Awards where quickly live again and ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ was announced for best sound editing and best sound mixing (read my full review about it HERE)! Soon after ‘First Man’ won for Best Visual Effects.
.
After ‘First Man’ won for Best Visual Effects, Daniel Craig and Charlize Theron came on stage to announce that Mahershala Ali (that is an amazing actor from ‘Green Book’ and ‘Moonlight’) won for best actor in a Supporting Role for ‘Green Book’ (I’ve already seen twice it’s so good)! ‘Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse’ won for Best animated feature. I was so beyond happy about that! It was truly one of the best animations I’ve seen in a long long time (if not the best)! It was just so original! The Oscar was presented by Sarah Paulson and Paul Rudd, whom I both adore.
.
I then realized that none-other than Cole Sprouse and Chace Crawford were at one of the tables near me! As well as Caitlyn Jenner, she seemed super sweet taking pictures with everyone!
.
As our main course was starting to be served Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper went on stage to perform their hit song from the ‘A Star is Born’ soundtrack; “Shallow”. It was absolutely beautiful and touching… and let’s not even get started with their chemistry!
.
.
Not too long after that “Shallow” won for best original song. The best original score went to ‘Black Panther’. As well as that, Alfonso Cuaron won for Best Director for Netflix’s ‘Roma’ (it also won Best Foreign Film)! After a break, Rami Malek went on the stage and won Best Actor in a Leading Role for his portrayal of Freddie Mercury in ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ that I adored! Shortly after the that ‘The Favourite’ actress, Olivia Colman went on to bring home the Oscar for actress in a Leading Role!
Everyone was eager to know which movie was going to win “Best Picture”. It finally went to… ‘Green Book’! I can’t say I was necessarily happy since I would’ve loved to see ‘A Star is Born’ win, but ‘Green Book’ is truly one of the best movies I’ve seen this year so far so good for them! By the way, if you’re curious, you can check out my blog post about my ranking of most of the award nominated movies this season HERE!

Next up was the auction, the first thing auctioned was a beautiful Lady Gaga photograph (that is going to be signed and dedicated by her for the buyer). It ended up being sold I believe at 50’000 dollars going all to benefit HIV/AIDS. The next item going to be sold was a painting of Queen Elizabeth II (like I previously said this painting was done face to face and she had to sit a really long time for it to be done). Elton himself actually almost bought it but it ended up going to another person! The next thing sold was a pink neon sign. Right after that was a trip to the Maldives for four people! One of the last things was two tickets to the premiere of ‘Rocketman’ so to help raise the price Taron Egerton (the actor who plays Elton in Rocketman) went up on stage. It happened really fast, but moments later Taron was singing (my favorite song by Elton John; “Tiny Dancer”), with non-other than Elton John on the piano. Since Taron sings all the songs himself in the movie it was INSANE in an amazing way to see it live and on top of that with Elton! I was truly so grateful to have been there. As everyone was standing up I got to meet Chace Crawford (that I know from Gossip Girl as Nate). He was truly beyond sweet and we took a picture together which was also super fun.
.
.
The auction wrapped up moments later and Elton announced that they had raised 6.4 million dollars that night (compared to 5M the previous year)! Which is insane!!! During the breaks illustrations where shown how you could donate simply with texting which is incredible. Either way, I never thought they would’ve raised so much and the whole room was pleasantly surprised!
.
After that the band The Killers came to perform a few of their hit songs! Elton performed a song with them, which was again a surreal moment! The band was extremely fun to listen to and everyone was taking their shoes off and dancing which gave the room a really good atmosphere. As they were about to wrap up I decided to leave to see if the after-party started and that’s when I literally bumped into Taron Egerton. He was really really nice, we got to talk a bit and then I headed to the after party!
.
.
As soon as we arrived at the after party I saw Lakeith Stanfield as well as Paris Hilton! My mom and I decided to stay to have a drink. We took a couple pictures together and then left around an hour later!
.

.
The whole experience was beyond fun and I am so grateful and thankful I got to go and not only that but it was for an amazing cause to raise money for as well! I truly hope to get to attend the event next year again!
Are you excited to see ‘Rocketman’ in theatres in May? Also, are you glad that ‘Green Book’ won for best picture? Let me know your opinions in the comments section down below.
