The wind is blowing, the sun is scorching, music is playing and my heart is racing… Where am I? That’s right, I’m back at Coachella.
.
Thinking about last year’s two-weekend event has gotten me both nostalgic and excited, for round two is merely around the corner! Due to this upcoming phenomenon, I decided it would be convenient to write a post about my festival essentials and include a couple of outfit-ideas within it. To put it short, I created five looks that I’m honestly in love with, which I hope that each and every one of you will be able to recreate! Almost all of the outfits are very similar to what I’ll actually be wearing to Coachella next week (where like I mentioned before, it’s burning hot during the day and freezing at night). The looks vary from leather jackets to denim short and dresses, making them applicable to almost every style! Even though this is a post about festivals you don’t have to actually go to one to recreate any of the looks, trust me when I say they work for any kind of summer event, the music is just a plus! Also, you truly don’t need every item from the outfit to recreate it, as long as you are inspired from my ideas, I’m happy! Anyways, enough chitchat, let’s delve into the post!
.

.
1. Custard Concert and Bohemia
First up out of my outfit ideas is a slightly more bohemian option (hence the title) which is super comfortable yet trendy. Starting with the detailed leather jacket, this item is sure to turn heads while keeping you both stylish and warm. The stud detailing perfectly complements the simple graphic tee and the roses make for a comical contrast with the aggressive ‘Eat my dust’ quote. The custard Chanel backpack brings warmth and style to the look and the dainty silver rings complement the feminine side of the outfit. Finally, the classic high top converse perfectly finish off the style, leaving one comfortable and capable of dancing the night away!
.

.
2. Canadian-Suit Rockstar
Moving on, this outfit takes a more light and delicate vibe to the classic denim-on-denim Canadian-suit. With both denim shorts and jacket, the fluidity of the look is not lost while keeping the whole vibe young and undeniably modern! I love the elegant gold choker from Brandy Melville and I love how it pairs perfectly with the cropped see-through blouse. Both items draw in festival vibes while keeping the look light and not overwhelmingly colourful. The YSL backpack is again, super practical to carry your belongings and its dark leather makes for a great contrast with the white high top converse!

3. Daisy Teenagers on stage
I personally adore this look. Again, the denim-on-denim never fails to amaze while partying in a desert! The Calvin Klein tee also makes for a great and light top to wear which isn’t going to feel tight or sweaty while dancing. It works perfectly with the custard yellow Chanel, which is again, so amazing for carrying water and essentials (keep reading this post to find out what mine are). Finally, I love the classic vans and I know my feet will love them too after I spend hours walking around in them!
.

.
4. Lovebird and Cherry Blossom singers
Next up on my list is a much more feminine look. This is perfect for any girl out there who likes to look a little girly but still wants to keep it cool and grungy : “the perfect combination of dark and dainty” as my friend used to say! I’m personally completely in love with this cherry dress as I think it really grasps the joy that the spring season brings! The leather biker jacket, like I said before, completely changes the vibe of the look and together with the black backpack and sneakers, really brings something different to the typical sneakers and dress outfit. This one is sure to be recreated in one of my looks for Coachella this year!

5. Polka-DJ on the dance floor
Finally, my last look is a super comfortable compromise of all the lovely elements I touched onto previously. In this outfit, I brought in the feminine side with the dress, but kept it dark with its colour. I kept the vans for the comfort but reverted back to the custard backpack for originality. The black jacket stayed for warmth and the jewellery added a final touch of bohemia, while staying delicate of course! This look is best complemented with a high top bun or a braid, to reconfirm the femininity of the dark clothes.

Moving on, I saw it fit to also use this opportunity to share with you all some of my festival essentials to keep me hydrated and looking good on the dance floor! From sunscreen to sunglasses, these items are guaranteed to keep you safe through the blazing heat!
.

.
1. Neutrogena – UltraSheer Sunscreen
I can’t even begin to tell you how important sunscreen is when attending an outdoor event, regardless of it being hot or not, exposure to the outdoors should always be safe! Especially if you are going to a hot festival like Coachella, you’re going to need loads of protection. When I went last year, I applied it every morning before leaving my hotel room and carried a smaller bottle around with me throughout the day.
.
2. Kora Organics – Rose Mist
If you’ve seen any of my pictures from Coachella last year, you probably noticed that I always had a small water spray in my hand (something that my friend and I had thought of last-minute)… Although it saved my life last year, this year I am going prepared with this amazing rose mist! I love everything about it, from the smell to how soft it leaves your skin afterwards, this is guaranteed to keep me fresh the entire weekend! Plus it won’t drench me down like the water did – see! now isn’t that practical!
.
3. Kora Organics – Noni Glow Body Balm
From the very first moment I tried this product out, I knew I had to take it with me to Coachella. Now, as I start packing for the celebrated festival, I plan to keep it in my backpack, at all times and at all costs. It is the most absolute perfect mix of hydration and care and will definitely keep my skin happy over the weekend. If you tend to have dry skin like me, this product is made for you. I so so so insist that people order it and use it, this is a must!
.
4. Dior – Dior Addict Lacquer Stick
If you read ZimmyLifestyle then you know I’m obsessed with Dior and even more so, with this lipstick. The colour is so seamlessly natural and creates a very vibrant and fresh look. It feels like lip balm yet looks like lipstick – I mean, what more could a woman want?? I bought this product in the shade 577 “Lazy” and again, I reiterate, I’m in love with it.
.
5. Laura Mercier – Shine Control Pressed Setting Powder
Out of all the essentials listed in this post, this is by far the most necessary item you should bring with makeup-wise. It is, by definition, an essential. Partying along in a desert, people tend to sweat, actually to be honest, at ANY concert, people tend to sweat… now does sweat look pretty? NO! So, here’s your knight in shining armour, your beacon of light, you’re cure to a sweaty face. Buy this product and you will never look clammy under the boiling sun again. I applied this product every 2-3 hours during the day last Coachella and honestly, it worked so well. Made my skin look flawless in pictures and made me feel beautiful on the dance floor. Haha, anyways this has truly been a lifesaver for me and I hope you’ll like it too! It’s also very easy to apply as the pressed powder comes with a small makeup sponge… Can’t get any better than that, am I right?
.
6. Sunglasses
Although I don’t own hundreds of pairs of sunglasses, I still throughly believe that they are important essentials to have with you at all times when attending a music festival. From complementing looks to keeping sun rays out of your eyes, these items are great!! Plus they totally play into the whole festival theme and definitely aid in dealing with the bright lights. Hats are also super important… as staying in the sun for the whole day with nothing on your head to protect can also be super dangerous… I’m not including them as a separate essential but they tie in pretty close with sunglasses when it comes to protection.
.
And well, that’s about it for this post! I hope you all enjoyed it and please, please, PLEASE, don’t forget to let me know in the comments which one of the looks was your favourite and which essential you love the most! Also, are you going to Coachella this year? Are you attending any other music festival? Let me know!!
.
As always,
.
Lots of love.
