From a very young age, I have been obsessed with Steven Spielberg’s work. Something about the way he directs just makes every movie he works on so much more enticing. His movies are dramatic, intense and evidently well-known! Spielberg’s most famous creations are Jurassic Park, Terra Nova and Jaws…

Considering I have seen most of his films, I like to consider myself a loyal fan! But while scrolling through the internet one day, I came across a TV show that he created in 2014 called the Red Band Society. Embarrassed that I had never heard of this before, I immediately started watching it and turns out I ended up loving it!

Even thought it’s not about dinosaurs or science-fiction, I absolutely adore the series! It tells the story of a group of teenagers who become very close friends while staying in the pediatric ward of a hospital!

My favorite character is Emma who is treated in the hospital for anorexia as she is a bright character who also has amazing fashion style that funnily reminds me of the coven season of the TV show American Horror Story.

Overall, as I said before, it was definitely worth the watch. Although it never made it to becoming a two season show, the Red Band Society is still an interesting 13 episode endeavor! Amongst it’s many qualities, the show was a beautiful and coherent mix between being a comedic and dramatic piece! The characters were really interesting and authentic and the plot was simply smartly derived and developed!

If you haven’t seen the show yet, I definitely advise you do so. As I said, it’s short so won’t take you too long to finish and its also amazing!
