TRIP TO THE CAPITAL: LONDON

Throughout my life, I have visited many places. Even just from glancing at my blog, one can quickly derive that I love traveling and that I do quite a lot of it! Amongst the many places I go, London always seems to be the most frequent place I visit. But, this time, when I went, it was different. It wasn’t like the other hundreds of weekend trips I have spent in the capital before… There was something special this time and I honestly think it was my favorite experience in London yet! Throughout this short yet busily-packed weekend, I was able to do many things, including a lot of self-reflection and future-planning: something I haven’t had the time to do in absolute ages!

Being someone that is constantly evolving and changing, self-assessment is a very healthy thing to do. By allowing myself this brainstorming time, I was also really able to think of new ideas for the blog!! I imagined new projects, new blog posts, so much stuff that I simply can’t wait to share with you guys! Like I’ve said in previous posts, zimmylifestyle.com is just the beginning of what is yet to come!

Anyways, back to London, while I was there, my brother’s girlfriend came to visit for the first time ever – crazy right? She had never been to London before! Talk about missing out! So well, as it was her first time, my brother and I put on our tour guide voices and showed her around the city! From the London Eye to our favorite restaurant: Zuma, we showed her everything that we love about the capital! By the way, if you didn’t already know, Zuma is a fine cuisine Japanese restaurant in central London that I absolutely adore! My favorite dish there is their cold tofu which is so so so good! Along with that, I always order their dessert specialty called ‘Shawa Mushi’ which is a fruit combination and is purely delicious!

After our lunch out at Zuma, my brother, his girlfriend and I decided to stroll around central London. While enjoying the soft summer breeze, we wandered into a couple of shops to do some shopping! As I have recently lost weight (by following my health tricks in my new health category), I was really in the mood to buy some actual clothes that fit me! So, I did exactly that and with the help of my brother’s gorgeous girlfriend, I went to Zara, Chanel, and Harrods all in one day! Although I never buy clothes at Zara, I decided to change my habits up a bit and buy a few dainty floral tops! Then, at Chanel, I bought a gorgeous blue purse and then finally, saving the best for last, I bought quite a lot of jeans, tops, and shoes at Harrods!

Considering I don’t like the idea of hauls, I decided I would show you my new purchases through some outfits that I created while in London! For the first outfit pictured below, I’m wearing my new Chanel bag, my new purple booties and one of my new tops from Zara! The rest of the outfit photos are also just mix-ups of my new buys and my old items! Hope you enjoy!

Back to visiting London! On our last day in the capital, my brother, his girlfriend and I all went to visit the Big Ben! While we were there, we happened to coincidently run into KJ Apa who plays Archie in the TV show, Riverdale (who I also previously met at Coachella)!! I mean what are the odds? How crazy to have been in the same place at the same time as him?!!  After our visit of the Big Ben, my mom and I flew back to Geneva in time for her meeting with Dior – exciting right? I won’t be in Geneva for long but will keep you updated on my whereabouts, I promise!

Hope you enjoyed reading about my travels!
