COACHELLA DAY 2: BEST DAY OF MY LIFE

Where to begin…? Coachella Day 2!! Even just the sound of it makes me want to jump with excitement!! Waking up this morning after yesterday’s adventures felt fantastic. Even more eager than before, I was yet again determined to know what my day would bring!!

Commencing my day with fresh fruit eating, tons of sunscreen applying and a change of outfit, I felt prepared for the hot desert day before me.

Before going to the festival, my best friend and I actually decided to join our hotel’s well-known day club. This included listening to loud, fun music and taking cute pictures at photo booths!! After this experience, we went back up to our rooms at around 12pm for yet another outfit change where we fully got ready for Coachella. Funnily enough, my best friend and I both went for outfits with loose shorts and pretty tops, religiously aiming for the comfy but cute look. Taking as little time as possible, we both got ready quickly as we knew the ride to the festival from the hotel would take forever…

After the makeup changes and choosing of bags, we departed onto the long road into the Colorado dessert! Upon arrival, we were hit by the dry heat which we were going to have to tackle all day long. This was ultimately different to what we had experienced before as when we had arrived yesterday, the sun was just setting. Nothing other than watermelon popsicles were going to keep us alive from the burning sun today!

Now slightly more hydrated, my best friend and I snuck into a packed art exhibition full of modern pieces where we were able to yet again, take photos. After walking a bit and admiring the art, we truly couldn’t handle the heat anymore so we rushed back to the VIP section where we snacked on pizza, sat in the shade and enjoyed the light breeze.

After this splendid relaxation, we decided to go watch the “Two Door Cinema Club” group perform at 6pm. Standing in the middle of the crowd, we enjoyed their music as the weather got cooler and cooler. Once their gig was over, my best friend and I started walking around again, which is where everybody, the craziness began…

Heading back to the VIP section, my best friend recognized a YouTuber that she liked. But, when she started slowly moving towards him, we both ran into Josh Hutcherson!!! And suddenly, without realizing it, we were standing in a group of celebrities. From the corner of my eye I could see Dylan Minnette whom I had met yesterday and since we had had such a great talk the day before, I decided to go over and speak to him yet again. With Dylan were some of his cast members from the TV show “13 Reasons Why”!!

Other than them, my best friend and I really wanted to find the “Riverdale” cast that we both loved tremendously. And as crazy as it sounds, they were standing right behind us! So we did as one does and spoke to them about tattoos and life in general. Taking photos and laughing, we had a fantastic time!! Sadly Kj wasn’t with them but nevertheless, we still got to talk to Cole and some of his other cast members!!

Next up, on our way to a bar my friend told me about, we ran into the beautiful Nina Dobrev!! Taking into account the fact that she looked really down to earth, we went up to her and took some selfies. Then at the bar, we saw some actors from the TV show “Vampire Diaries”. Just as we saw them we realized that the “Future” band concert was about to start!! So we quickly left through the exit of the VIP section which is where we saw many more celebrities such as Carrie Underwood, Tyler Hoechlin and Rita Ora.

Now arriving at the concert on the main stage, we discovered that it was extremely crowded… Finally finding an empty spot, my best friend and I danced to the music and enjoyed the moment to the fullest! Then, much to our surprise, Drake walked on stage!! This evidently meant that the entire audience got super excited and started well, screaming.

Around the end of the show, we wandered back to the Merchandise shop where we both bought Lady Gaga/Coachella shirts. After this, we got a bite to eat and relaxed while listening to the Bon Iver concert. Now noticing that the Lady Gaga concert was getting closer and closer, my best friend and I headed to the VIP area of the main stage 40 minutes early to ensure a good view of her performance. And this is where the most exciting moment of the day finally happened… Lady Gaga walked on stage and everyone, I mean everyone went wild. Every human being standing watching her was in sync listening and singing along to every single song. The vibe was as you can imagine, insane. Gaga’s dancing and overall stage presence took over everything and to finish it off, the show ended with a stunning array of fireworks.

Looking back at it now from my hotel bed, I can honestly say that without a shadow of doubt, Coachella day 2 was honestly one of the best days of my entire life!! It was simply incredible and was much more than I had ever hoped for. I seriously cannot wait for what tomorrow has to bring!!!
