I have been wanting to go to Coachella since what seems like forever! More officially known as the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, this annual music festival is known worldwide. Held at the Empire Polo Club in the Colorado Desert of Indio California, hundreds of celebrities and A-listers attend the celebration each year.

Which is why, I can finally say that I am so excited to be here!! Choosing the best person alive to join me, we took off this morning with a three-hour car ride from Los Angeles to Indio.

Once in Indio, my best friend and I checked into our hotel room and collected our wristbands for the elite festival. Then after putting on some makeup and making a quick outfit change, we left.

The journey to from the hotel was as you can imagine, insane. Not really knowing what to expect yet having so many expectations, my friend and I were going crazy. Was it going to be as good as we had hoped? Could it be better..?

After a lot of squealing and singing in the car, we finally arrived at the entrance of the VIP Coachella section. First impressions first, I would like to explain as to how stunned I was to see the size of the place. Nothing like the Paleo Festival I’m used to back in Switzerland, Coachella was huuuuuge.

Now over the enormity of the festival and still in the VIP section, my best friend and I managed to calm down and grab a bite to eat along with taking a couple pictures. In line for our food, we saw the ever so nice Dylan Minnette who is currently playing Clay in the TV show “13 Reasons Why” and spoke to him for a bit!!

Next up, we sat down to enjoy our food and then started moving towards the exit of the VIP section to join the concert. Which is where we bumped into Tyler Posey, the actor who is playing Scott in the TV show “Teen Wolf”!! Munching on some French fries together and talking about the TV industry, we had a great time!

After this cute little talk, my best friend and I walked over to the main stage where we hung out for a couple hours, wandering around the hundreds of stands and art sculptures, waiting for concerts to start.

Not noticing the time, we then went back to the VIP section where we drank some lemonade and sat down for a bit. This is exactly when we heard that the XX concert was starting… So we rushed like crazy to get to the front to watch the performance which was indeed incredible. This being the first official performance I saw at Coachella, my happiness of being there really started to kick in. I felt so free and utterly content to be standing in a crowd full of joyous people singing along to their favorite songs. The feeling of being in a group, being all together was simply amazing.

Next up we decided to go take a visit to the Coachella merchandise booths. We went on the huge Ferris wheel and as you can probably derive, we went super super super high and if you know me, you know that I hate heights so this wasn’t the most enjoyable experience of my day…
1
Now considering that we still had the whole weekend to take pictures and to see more concerts, we decided to call it a night and head back to the hotel. Especially since we were starting to get a little cold… who knew deserts were freezing at night!!

So that pretty much sums up my first day at Coachella 2017!! Pretty much unbelievable if you ask me… Can’t wait for days 2 and 3!!
