*For those who don’t know a convention is a place where the actors meet their supporters. It normally lasts a whole weekend. It was organised by Guest Events*
My first convention was for the series “Pretty little liars” and it was in January, less than a week after I got back from the Maldives, it was in Paris.
You can access the convention if you buy a pass. There are usually three types of passes and then the VIP one. As my friend and I loved our first convention, we wanted to go to The Vampire Diaries one, which was at the end of May. Unfortunately, when we wanted to buy our passes the only ones left where the less good ones.
The passes were
- B*TE ME
- K*SS ME
- L*VE ME
My friend and I had the pass L*VE ME (which is the less expensive one). When you don’t have any photoshoots (pictures to take with the actors) Autograph sessions or Meeting room, you stay in the main room where Q&A and Panels occur throw out the day. In this room, each seat has its number and the less your pass is good, the farther away your are from the stage. But the room wasn’t as big as for the Pretty Little Liars convention so we where lucky.
The guests from The Vampire Diaries / The Originals were
- Ian Somerhalder
- Paul Wesley couldn’t make it because he had a show going on in those dates
- Claire Holt and Michael Malarkey were supposed to come, but we had little last minute problem
- Arielle Kebbel
- Nathaniel Buzolic
- Charles Michael Davis
- Daniel Gillies
- Sebastian Roche
- Chris Wood
They were all very nice, and my friend and I got a lot of pictures, autographs during the two days. We had to queue a bit more than for the other convention, but the staff was nice, and we made great friends, so the time went by really fast.
Because Claire Holt couldn’t make it she did a meet-up at her hotel around 8 PM after the end of the first day of the convention (Saturday). So we still got to meet her and take a picture with her.
I really had a lot of fun, and all the actors were extremely nice! Thank you so much Guest Events for this amazing experience!
