Hey guys! How’s it going? For today’s post, I wanted to share an OOTD (Outfit Of The Day) with you. I wore this look not too long ago whilst on a two week trip in the US when we stopped in New York (for my best friend’s birthday)! We stayed for a little less than four days which made the perfect long weekend back in one of my favorite states, with my favorite people.
On our last day in NY of our US trip my brother and I decided to go to the Brooklyn Bridge as we had never been and well, we wanted to get some cool shots! For our last couple of hours in New York, I decided to wear something chic yet cozy and with all the tones of fall! I wore a cropped Urban Outfitters cardigan (that has been my favorite for the past couple of months, as you might’ve seen on previous posts) that I matched with a simple cream Brandy Melville tank and BDG (from UO) black shorts. To add something extra to the outfit I wore my thigh-high boots from Dior and my small black backpack from Saint Laurent. To finalize the look I did my makeup and hair. To add something cool to my makeup I highlighted the inner corner of my eye with one of my favorite ‘Lemonhead.la’ ‘space paste’ in the shade ‘Mulholland’. I have been doing this a lot lately in my makeup routine as I think it adds something cool to a basic look. For my hair, I did a high ponytail! Anyways, after having walked on the bridge for a little bit under the pastel sky we made our way to SoHo, which is personally one of the parts I love the most in New York. We decided to go have a drink at ChaCha Matcha, which is a famous Matcha place that is delicious and totally ‘Insta worthy’. I drank lemonade with matcha of some kind and my brother went for an iced latte, with matcha also obviously haha. We then stayed in the area for a little bit longer, just walking the streets. Afterwards, we decided to head to the Color Factory of which I wanted to do so badly but we weren’t sure if we would get there in time since we had our plane early in the afternoon! Luckily since it wasn’t too far we managed to make it, and, wow am I glad we got to! It was truly nothing like anything I had ever done before. We walked onto twenty different rooms filled with crazy artistic and dreamlike things! There were some games to do in some rooms as well as some things to eat in others, I highly recommend it if you find yourself in the west village/SoHo area in New York, it’s so original! Right after the factory we went to grab a bite at Zuma and managed to eat it in thirty minutes as we mostly ordered sushi. Then we headed back to the hotel to change and close our suitcases and head to the airport!
That’s it for today’s post. I hope you guys liked my outfit and I hope I inspired you with some things to do if you go to the Big Apple.
What would you do if you had a full day in New York? Also, what’s your essential fall piece? I would say mine are cardigans for sure! Let me know!
Lots of LOVE, as always,
Linda
