Hey guys! How’s it going? For today’s post (as you may have seen on my Instagram or even in the title haha), I am going to write about my experience at the ‘Avengers: Endgame’ Premiere and the After-Party! I have been a fan of the MCU and Marvel in general for a very long time, and I can’t mention enough how eager and excited I was to see Endgame! I got the crazy opportunity to attend the premiere and I brought my brother along! To put it straight forward; we truly had a blast. As excited as I am to share my thoughts on Endgame this post will only be about my experience attending the event and it will briefly mention my thoughts. But, stay tuned for my review coming up shortly! Either way, let’s get onto the post, shall we?
P. S. THIS POST DOES NOT CONTAIN A SINGLE SPOILER for all my followers that haven’t had the chance to see it yet!
Something like this movie has truly never been done before!! It is still crazy to me how this all started with an Iron Man movie 10 years ago! This movie was truly one in a kind and it was so emotional to see every single Marvel character in the film. There were old characters and new characters and it is just still so crazy to me how much build up this movie had, literally, 10 years of build up for 1 amazing 3-hour movie!
On the day of the premiere, my brother, his girlfriend and I all drove back to LA from La Quinta, California, which was about a three-hour drive! As soon as we arrived and checked-in at the hotel (after stopping at In & Out first obviously haha) we immediately started getting ready. I went for a subtle cream-brown ombré eye (from the Norvina palette by Anastasia Beverly Hills) makeup look with a light pink lipstick from Bite. As for the clothes I went for a Saint Laurent metallic blue dress with silver star patches all over it and a huge bow on the back! I wore my dress with Fendi x Fila blue, white and red pumps and a small Chanel silver purse.
After getting all glammed up, around 4:30PM, my brother and I headed to the Los Angeles Convention Center to where the premiere took place! We first had an about 40-minute car ride and that’s when I started doubting what I was wearing because I realized that I made a bold choice by wearing a dress with a huge bow on my back, it is definitely not the comfiest when sitting haha (especially for a 3-hour movie). But it was honestly fine in the end, I just dealt with sitting uncomfortably and I was too excited for the movie to let my dress bother me!
As. soon as we arrived we went to redeem our tickets which were categorized by the first letter of your last name. As soon as we showed our ID’s after a short line in the ‘Z’ section we got our tickets to the premiere and party! We were wondering whether the screening was going to be in one big room or in multiple small theaters (like it usually happens). We immediately headed in and decided to go to the top of the venue since there was a really great stop to take a picture (which we obviously had to take haha). The red carpet was purple, like last year’s one and there was the Avengers’ ‘A’ logo in the center. It was pretty surreal!
Before entering the actual cinema room we moved around the venue a bit. My brother actually recognized a couple of basketball players and I saw the Merrell Twins (that I loved when I was smaller)! We then got a couple of pictures taken in front of the photo wall! Soon after that, we headed upstairs where there were posters layed of every character and there were also black and white for the characters that passed away in Infinity War! Right after we entered a white room filled with pictures from the 10 years of Marvel movies and ones from the set of this film! We admired how much worked and time had been put into these crazy movies. We then had to put our phones is sealed pockets for the viewing (like Infinity War, which btw Captain Marvel didn’t have)!
Right after that, it was pretty much a candy festival! We all got small Marvel bags that we could fill with a bunch of candy, my brother and I got snake candy that were super long but so good. As soon as we thought the food offered was over we saw about 500 buckets of Avengers: Endgame popcorn, yes, heaven indeed! Then we finally arrived in the theater, it was huge and honestly had about 800 seats. It was set up like bleachers, and it honestly felt like we were in a match haha. The atmosphere in the room was so good and everyone was so excited.
We then shortly headed to our seats which were pretty much right in the middle and we had a great view of the screen! It slowly started to fill up as we were watching the purple carpet live on the screen. Moments later we saw Karen Gillan (aka Nebula) and Chris Hemsworth (Thor), she was sitting diagonally from us, which was so cool!
Shortly after as we were talking about our final thoughts before the movie started and how thankful we were to be there. Then Joseph Russo (the co-director of Infinity War and other films in the MCU) sat not too far from us with his family! Then we made sure not to drink any water since the movie is 3 hours long haha and we didn’t want to get up and go to the bathroom in the middle of the film. Right before the screening was about to start Kevin Feige did a tiny speech to thank the people who helped the most along the way. Moments after that, the interviewer that was previously live on the red carpet ran to her seat in front of me as the movie was starting!
The room went silent reasonably fast, and I was again so so excited. Endgame ended up going in the direction I thought it was going to go and boy, it was fun to watch! You will feel pretty much every human emotion and I personally adored it. It truly felt like two movies in one and it had so much happening although it didn’t seem too, too packed. The soundtrack was fun and they also put a lot of humor in (like most MCU movies, which I truly enjoyed)! The humor of the film also helped ease the tension of everything that was happening! That’s all I am going to share about that for the moment but I will post my full spoiler-free review about it soon. I will just say without spoiling that I was on the edge of my seat throughout the whole ending of the movie because it was so intense and also because of the bow on my dress haha!
As soon as the movie was over (and surprisingly no credits were added) my back was ready to revive haha. Then, Joe and Anthony Russo came to the stage and received a lot of applause and then all the present actors of the Marvel Cinematic Universe came down to each talk a little about their experience. It was very emotional, especially right after seeing the film with everyone being still in awe. The premiere itself was already incredibly surreal and it was even more insane to be able to attend last year’s premiere as well as ‘Infinity War’ and ‘Endgame’ and like a two-part to a big movie! It’s definitely something my brother and I will never forget and it’s literally written in history!
Now let’s get onto the fun stuff, shall we!? As I previously mentioned I am already so grateful to attend the premiere but the after party was was super fun as well. It was also held in the Los Angeles Convention Center and was right next to the screening room. It was huge and had singers, tables, photo booths, bars, and character costumes from the actual set!
We quickly ran into Youtuber, David Dobrik who smiled back at us since as we literally see him almost every week at parties haha. We then headed to take water at the bar and stopped to look at all the costumes (some of which including Captain Marvel, Ant-Man, Captain America, Thor, etc..). I haven’t visited many sets and it’s always fun to see props and costumes up close, I find them so interesting! We then went to the bar where we saw none other but Iron Man himself, Robert Downey Jr. I was so starstruck! I then bumped into Scarlett Johansson, she was wearing a gorgeous strapless dress and “Thanos” inspired hand jewelry and was beyond sweet! Chris Evans, Karen Gillan, Chris Hemsworth, Paul Rudd, Cobie Smulders, Don Cheadle and many more were also around having a discussion with other cast members, crew and friends..! Right after getting my bottle of water I saw music icon, Miley Cyrus accompanied by her husband Liam, his siblings and her mom which was so beyond sweet and shows how strong their family is! I got to talk to her for a little bit and we took a picture together which was also pretty cool.
My brother and I then headed to one of the tables where we talked about our thoughts on the movie and enjoyed the fun background music! We also took a couple pictures at all the photo opportunities and then headed back to walk around the crazily big party! Whilst walking I ran into Sebastian Stan and to put it short he was the sweetest person I met of the night! As we were about to leave we saw Scarlett taking pictures and signing pictures with small kids which I thought was so adorable and admirable!
As we were at the party for a good hour already we decided to head out and actually went out in the wrong exit, which was the one of the cast. We ended meeting everyone again there and it was pretty surreal! We headed back in and I saw Taika Waikiki, who directed ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ and who also plays Korg in the film! I quickly went to talk to him and he was as much as a character as he appears to be, such a down to earth and a genuinely nice person! We stuck around for a little bit longer and I ran into Zoe Saldana, which was so crazy and awesome! She was running around looking after her kids but insisted on getting a picture which I thought was so nice! After that, we headed to the exit (the right one this time hahaha) and we saw little miss 3000 (you will know if you’ve seen Endgame haha). She was dancing on the dance floor with a friend of hers and was so beyond adorable!
We then walked all the way out of the venue whilst I was struggling to make every step after dancing too much (and having my feet in unbearable pain) but I was so over the moon happy from watching that amazing movie and I can happily announce that I made it in one piece to the hotel haha. No, but honestly it was truly a night that I will never forget and what a memorable movie it was! I can not wait to share all my thought on it and to keep reading through your thoughts in my DM’s!
That’s it for today’s post! Let me know if you have seen ‘Avengers: Endgame’ yet, if so what were your thoughts? Let me know down in the comments!
