ALL LACED UP – OUAI REVIEW

Hey guys! How’s it going? For today’s post, I wanted to share my review of a brand I have been trying for the past couple of months, Ouai! It’s time to give you guys all my thoughts on it! I heard about this brand so much that I decided to try it for myself and see if it’s worth its price and reputation.

I believe it’s essential to have a good hair routine to keep healthy hair. One of my absolute essential (which I’ve written about countless time) is hair oil.  If I could only choose one product to use for my hair until the end of times it would be oil by far (apart from shampoo obviously haha). No, but more seriously oil is usable in so many ways (a lot at for night mask, a little bit to highlight and make your hair glow, for massages… For a long time, the only three products I was using on my hair were oil, conditioner and a mask at every wash (twice a week)… this kept them healthy, hydrated and shiny. I also wanted to mention that you should be careful with the number of times you wash your hair in a week because over washing them is very bad and will make them greasy faster with a need to wash them every day. A lot of people believe that they have greasy hair and need to wash it every day but the best way to fix this problem is washing them less because on the long run your hair will get used to it and won’t become greasy as fast.

Recently, I have been wanting to try out more products that I’ve never tried to see what works nicely with my hair. So let’s get to it, shall we? I will be reviewing nine items (for some of those I don’t have a photograph of the product since I’m currently traveling and don’t have them with me physically).

PS; This post is NOT sponsored by them (or any other mentioned brand).

Please enjoy the review!

By far the best discovery of this brand! This was the item I was literally dying to try out! Whenever I go to the hairdresser they al,ways, use dry, foam, and I guess, it never clicked that I should on a regular (after washing) basis too. It makes my waves even and helps to bring a little volume (which isn’t my firm root haha and help with frizz). Definitely worth its price and as I have been using it for a little while now the bottle is still nowhere close to done!

Even though I did not end up being a fan of this oil I still, enjoyed how, light it was on my hair! It overall feels a bit too dry and isn’t as thick and hydrating as the other ones I currently use (Kérastase…). If you’re looking for something light to wear during the day, I would highly rec, ommend it for you or if your hair is on the greasier side, but you, would still need a little extra hydration.

Onto, the first shampoo I ever reviewed! I loved how many different shampoo and conditioner types they had. Although they were the hardest ones to ship to Europe online (!). Even though I had read some bad reviews about it, I still, decided to, get my own opinion on it and ended up absolutely loving it! I used to have shampoos in the “hydrating” category (from Pantene, Kerastase…) which always gave too much nourishment. However, with “clean” I finally felt like my hair was utterly detoxed and clean from the pollution which is what a good shampoo is supposed to do! I highly recommend looking into it if you have the same problems as me! My hair also stayed cleaner for a slightly more extended period, which is always pleasing. The last tip, don’t forget to always do two washes!

Like I previously mentioned my hair lacks volume which is one of the main reason why I cut 8 centimeters last month! While applying it I flip my hair upside down, and I noticed it helps a lot so I would highly recommend doing that whilst using your conditioner (even if you aren’t using this specific one).

I absolutely fell in love with this hydrating treatment mask! Although the bottle didn’t last too long for me it’s an, absolutely incredible mask that made my hair SO incredibly soft and helped me de-tangle it like crazy! If you have broken hair because of the use of heat on them, I think your hair could genuinely benefit from this mask! I overall say this mask is kind of worth its price, but, again you do get much more productive when you buy it from a pot! Another really good mask like this one is the Hydrating Mask from Gisou (I prefer it slightly, it’s sold in a pot but is on the more expensive side). Don’t worry, I will do a full review about it soon, stay tuned!

I have purchased two different shine mist this one and Body Lava from Fenty Beauty) for Coachella and to be fairly honest I did not enjoy either of them. The other one felt too sticky and this one felt like solid oil out of a can… I would not recommend either of them and you can find much better for a much smaller price.

Onto another one of my favorite products. I love that you can use this product both for your scalp and body. It’s very convenient and I’m so beyond glad. I bought it! Whenever I’m in the shower I realize how badly I need a scrub and I always forget to order it! But I’m so glad I finally got one again and it’s so incredibly worth its price. The texture is not too harsh, and it works perfectly in both areas.

Onto the hair spray! That’s not an item I would use on a weekly basis or even monthly, but it’s one that I tend to need from time to time and has always done the job for me…I’m again happy I got it. The before and after is insane.

Onto the last item of this review! I previously mentioned in this post that my hair tends to frizz and this helped me out so much (especially before taking pictures!). It’s the perfect product to have in your bag in case of emergency, and your hair frizzes big time.

.

I overall enjoyed Ouai’s hair care line a lot! I might not be a fan of all the products, but I found some that became new essentials.

That’s it for today’s post! Let me know if you heard about this brand or are interested in trying it out now!

Lot’s of love- As Always,
