Hey guys!
If you read my previous three posts about Coachella, or even if you just follow me on Instagram, you should know by now that recently, I have been spending a lot of time in Los Angeles! The reason for this roots from my love of America and the hot sun, something which I will never be able to say about London… Anyways, as I was saying, I spent a couple of days there before attending Coachella and now plan to head back there in a week’s time! When I was there before the festival, for one specific day, my best friend and I went crazy in terms of exploring and just enjoying the Santa Monica lifestyle! From going back to our favorite restaurants or simply lying on the beach next to the Santa Monica pier, we really truly just had the best day! So here’s my recount of the busy day and the outfit I wore!
It all started with a quick visit to the Cheesecake Factory at the Grove and the Urth Caffé in Melrose! After that, we walked around a bit and again, just delved ourselves into American girls. We stopped at Sephora to buy some new and upcoming essentials, we checked out some cute clothing stores and finally, we decided to go and watch a movie! After much pondering and discussion, we chose the film “A quiet place“, which is a new drama/thriller that I absolutely loved and will almost definitely write a review about soon! This was a cool experience for me considering I have never been to a movie theatre before in LA, meaning that the outstandingly comfortable seats felt strange and abnormal to me… The fact that I could lift my legs up and push my seat back felt very modern and home-like, almost as if it were asking me to fall asleep! After this amazing experience, we made our way back to our hotel in Santa Monica and had one last good night’s rest before all the craziness of Coachella and sleep deprivation!
Overall, I had a splendid day in LA! Although both my friend and I were still jet-lagged from our arrival from Europe, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and really made the most of it! The relaxing and just strolling really helped us cool down and definitely helped us prepare ourselves for the festival! I doubt I would feel as good as I do now if I had just flown in and gone straight to the partying…
For this sunny day out in LA, I dressed light but chic with an Urban Outfitters mini dress and a sweet BDG denim jacket! I specifically adore this jacket as it is customized with my all my favorite pins from Comic-Con! The dress was something that I bought recently and honestly, it lived up to my expectations! I complimented this look with my high-top black converse and of course, my new essential, a small black Chanel backpack.
Love – as always,
Tiffany Lea
