Once a year, the elite of the American film industry get together to celebrate excellence in cinematic achievements. Held in Los Angeles, California, this award ceremony is more officially known as the Academy Awards, where again, 24 golden statues are given out by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) for artistic and technical merit.
.
While the rest of the world enjoyed a casual Monday, I was up late watching the ordeal and gazing at outfit after outfit which strutted down the red carpet before the award giving. Celebrating the 90th anniversary of the said award ceremony, actresses and film stars all arrived dressed to impress. From men in white suits to women in yellow gowns, I was amazed from start to finish. Therefore I saw it fit to share with you all my absolute favorite looks. With so many to choose from, I made sure to include a brief description as to why a look made the cut. Without further explanation, I present to you my selection of the 25 best looks at the 2018 Oscars. Enjoy!
.
.
1. Zendaya in Giambattista Valli Haute Couture, Brian Atwood shoes, and Bulgari jewelry
First up on my list is this elegant ensemble that Zendaya wore. I love the chocolate brown color of the flowy off-the-shoulder dress which in my opinion, complements her skin tone perfectly! I’m also in love with the Bulgari jewelry as, like the tight immaculate top bun, ties smoothly into the look.
.

.
2. Lupita Nyong’o in custom Atelier Versace, Alexandre Birman shoes, Niwaka jewelry, and with a Versace bag
Next up is a perfect mix of chic and goddess-like, in other words, Lupita Nyong’o’s sparkling ensemble. Looking like a mythical princess on the red carpet, this actress never fails to stun. Complementing the look with gold detailing in her hair, this outfit was so close to winning the best look of the night in my opinion.
.

.
3. Emily Blunt in Schiaparelli Haute Couture and Chopard jewelry
Moving on, Emily rocked this elegant, blue-pastel couture dress. Again looking like a princess, Blunt showed us all that Cinderella really does exist. From her silky gaze to her small purse, she really did out do herself!
.

.
4. Danai Gurira in Gabriela Hearst and Sergio Rossi shoes
Next on my list is a special outfit worn by the one and only Danai. Rocking the red carpet right, Danai showed up in a strapless pale-pink dress, paired with a sweet choker and white detailing on her nails and shoes! Proving to us that you don’t need a lot of hair to impress an audience, this girl impressed us all.
.

.
5. Sally Hawkins in Armani Privé and Chopard jewelry
Right in front of Lupita’s dress has to be this one, which is officially my favorite dress in this collection. It is perfect in every definition and I would love to own it! Elegant and shiny yet still silhouette-showing and sexy, this dress is just insane. Paired with beautiful Chopard jewelry and a messy bun, Sally just looks incredible
.

.
6. Nicole Kidman in Armani Privé, Christian Louboutin shoes, and Harry Winston jewelry
If you are asking me for the most memorable dress seen on the red carpet last night, here’s your answer, two words: Nicole Kidman. Wearing a metallic, eccentric, bright blue Armani Privé dress, she could have turned heads from the other side of the country! The waist bow and the huge slit and the sleek hair and the black shoes all just come together and BAM, jaws are dropping everywhere.
.

.
7. Ansel Elgort in Tom Ford
Moving on to the first male mentioned in my list, Ansel Elgort who wore a dark green velvet tuxedo with black pants and glossy black suit shoes. Most of you already know that I’m obsessed with everything velvet and so, therefore, there was no way in hell this look couldn’t make my list! I’m in love.
.

.
8. Jennifer Lawrence in Christian Dior
Although we thought that we pretty much knew what to expect from Jennifer by now – we were wrong, as she honestly never fails to surprise us. We knew she’d be funny, we knew she would trip (maybe) and we knew she would look gorgeous BUT did we know she was going to show up in never-seen-before natural curly hair?! NO! So yes, she did stun and yes she did glow and yes, she definitely made my list.
.

.
9. Gal Gadot in Givenchy and Tiffany & Co. jewelry
Throwing us back into the 1920s, Gal Gadot strutted the red carpet in a stunning flapper dress designed by Givenchy. The actress that brought Wonder Woman to life came back and brought the 1920s to life. I was in love with it, her husband looked in love with it and I’m imagining that every single one of you is in love with it too!
.

.
10. Timothée Chalamet in Berluti
Timothée was wearing an all-white suit last night with a subtle touch of black. One of my favorite men’s outfits of the night, he simply looked classy and sophisticated while remaining young and vibrant.
.

.
11. Greta Gerwig in Rodarte and Tiffany & Co. jewelry
Standing out from everyone else at the Oscars is undeniably and inevitably impossible. But, according to Greta, I’ve just been mistaken, as she did stand out and like Eiza González, she wore yellow when everyone else wore black or gold. Finishing off the calm look with a sweet necklace, she just looked so damn pretty.
.

.
12. Margot Robbie in Chanel Haute Couture and Roger Vivier shoes
As you all know, Margot Robbie can pretty much pull off any look. From ripped fishnet tights and a baseball bat to an ice-skating leotard, this girl is practically alien when it comes to looking bad. Therefore, she killed it last night. Although she, unfortunately, didn’t win an Oscar, she still stunned and looked like a very nice and sweet snow queen.
.

.
13. Jennifer Garner in Atelier Versace and Piaget jewelry
Next up on my list is another Jennifer who like Nicole Kidman, opted for a blue look. Again, a very electric color, she looked beautiful in the flowing and loose trail which for some reason, reminded me of Serena’s wedding dress at Blair’s royal wedding in the hit show Gossip Girl.
.

.
14. Armie Hammer in Giorgio Armani and Montblanc cufflinks
When I first saw this burgundy velvet suit I knew I would have to include it in my post! Like Ansel, Armie looked absolutely gorgeous in head-to-toe velvet. I loved the color and I loved his smile – super duper cute!
.

.
15. Allison Williams in Armani Privé Couture and Brian Atwood shoes
Alike a lot of other women on the carpet last night, Allison gave us princess vibes to heaven and beyond. She just looked so pristine and perfect in her Armani Privé Couture dress. In a subtle nude color, she looked very peaceful and very happy to have embroidered diamonds all over her chest.
.

.
16. Gina Rodriguez in Zuhair Murad Couture
Gina, the famous ‘Jane The Virgin’ actress looked amazing in Zuhair Murad Couture. I loved the color and the crystal detailing. Her hair was perfectly split and swept into a low ponytail as she added a special touch to the not-so-rare nude dress look.
.

.
17. Betty Gabriel in Tony Ward Couture
The ‘Purge’ and ‘Get Out‘ actress killed it last night in Tony Ward Couture. I loved the low cut front and the unique green emerald color. Very mother-earth-like, this outfit looked very at ease and elegant. Gina finished it off with golden makeup and goddess-like-futuristic curled hair!
.

.
18. Mira Sorvino in Romona Keveža
Kind of giving me a Hailee Steinfeld 2017 Oscar vibe, Mira looked delightful yesterday. I’m so totally under a magical charm of her gorgeous Romona Keveza dress. Long, elegant, sophisticated and stunning, Mira looked perfect.
.

.
19. Taraji P. Henson wearing Vera Wang Balmain
I think it’s fair to say that Taraji slayed the red carpet. Without a doubt, she stunned and showed off her insane curves while still remaining elegant and classy. Definitely one of my favorite looks of the night, Taraji outdid herself with the dress’ slit and the sleek hair bob.
.

.
20. Allison Janney in Reem Acra and with a Roger Vivier bag
The first Oscar winner on my list goes to Allison Janney who won Best Supporting Actress for her role in ‘I, Tonya’. She looked alluring standing up on the stage receiving the award in classic jewelry and a phenomenal red dress.
.

.
21. Zoey Deutch in Elie Saab Couture and Tiffany & Co. jewelry
Zoey’s dress kind of reminds me of Gal Gadot’s as they both hurled me back into the 1920s. Zoey also made sure to wear an eco-friendly dress that night, to put forward her views on global warming and climate change. Paired simultaneously with outstanding golden hair and deep red lips, she definitely wore the Elie Saab dress right.
.

.
22. Samara Weaving in Schiaparelli Couture
With the only coral dress in my selection, Samara looked extra elegant with her glowing makeup and earrings. Again, playing with the low-cut vibe that so many wore on the carpet, Samara looked very charming!
.

.
23. Chadwick Boseman in Givenchy
The “Black Panther” actor gave us some major King vibes on the red carpet with a silver embroidered coat and zipped shoes. Keeping it classy, his all-black ensemble looked handsome amongst the ordinary suits around him.
.

.
24. Tom Holland in custom Hermès and Piaget jewelry
The Spiderman actor totally looked the part on the red carpet. Wearing custom Hermès and a Piaget watch, he looked stylish and ready to party. Perhaps a little too sharp and French to some… you won’t find me complaining!
.

.
25. Eiza González in Ralph Lauren, Brian Atwood shoes, and Chopard jewelry
Finally, reaching number 25 on my list has to go to Eiza Gonzalez who as mentioned in my introduction and in number 11, outdid herself last night. In a marvelous exotic yellow dress, she lit up the carpet like no other. Her sleek figure was complemented by the gorgeous color and she honestly looked insane. With a Chopard bracelet and earrings and flashing red lipstick, she won last night in my heart.
