“BAD LIAR” COVER

Singing is something vulnerable, it’s not a place where you can hide… You can’t put on a mask nor makeup as what’s portrayed by an audience is simply what exits the mouth of the individual.
.
As all of you already know, I’ve been taking daily singing classes recently and have been covering and recording songs whenever I have the time to do so. I posted about my first two covers a while back (read that post HERE) and am now showing you yet another cover: Bad Liar. This song was originally sung by the beautiful and fascinatingly talented Selena Gomez. She co-wrote the song with her long-time collaborators: Julia Michaels and Justin Trante. Released on the 18th of May 2017, this song is approximately three minutes long and I fell in love with it the first time I heard it.
.
Selena is actually, as coincidental as it may sound, one of the artists that inspired me to start singing in the first place… Although very popular and quite mainstream, this song is very different from my other covers as it’s a lot more strenuous on my vocal capability. I truly had to push myself in the making of this song. Layering my voice meant recording the song about one hundred and fifty times!! Even though it was hard, I adored the process of recording this song. Not only is it my all time favorite Gomez song, it’s also quite original, perky and authentically beautiful! It’s definitely my favorite cover that I’ve done so far as I’ve worked really hard on it and I think it’s paid off! Hope you enjoy it as much as I do! Without further ado, here is the cover:
