In the past couple of months, I have received loads of questions as to why I started a blog and honestly, the answer is pretty long. It was never just a case of “oh I should start writing a blog today,” the reason for starting zimmylifestyle.com was much more of a progressive project, an idea that was developed and well thought about before it debuted. I didn’t just suddenly start publishing my adventures on the internet; I had to make sure I was in the right mind set and that I had the right about of time to be able to really commit myself. I had always wanted to do it, but with school and everything, I simply didn’t have enough time. But then, when I started homeschooling and left high school, everything changed.

I now had more time to travel, meet new people, see new things and most importantly, by leaving high school, I now had time to write a blog. I could share my adventures through more than just Instagram, I mean I love Instagram, but it didn’t satisfy me. It restricted me; I wanted to tell a story to compliment my photos and Instagram simply couldn’t do that for me.

I just wanted my own platform, my own website where I could share my passions such as traveling, photography, fashion, writing and exploring all in one place. My blog would also be a way for me to tell interesting stories about the people I meet like Rihanna or the events I attend like the Dior Fashion Show.

So I picked up a pen, and started writing. Now my memories are all on my blog; it’s just like having a life hard drive. I enjoy what I do so much and will continue doing it for as long as I can. There is so much still to come so I hope you will all stick around for what is going to be a big adventure. This is just the beginning.

Love, Tiffany Lea
