The ‘instant spa glow’ mask everyone is using on Instagram – ‘Summer Fridays’ Jet Lag Hydrating Mask

Hey guys! I hope you’ve had a great day so far! Today, I wanted to share with you one of my favourite hydrating masks. Quite frankly, this mask is one of the few masks I own. I tend to break out a lot so I usually tend to go for the purifying type of masks. I have quite a lot of specifically purifying masks! But, my skin has been really dry lately so I decided to purchase an item that I’ve been curious about ever since I first saw it on Instagram. The ‘Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask’ has been something that has been popping up on my feed over and over again. This mask was created by Marianna Hewitt and Lauren Gores Ireland. Marianna has been a blogger that I’ve been following for a while. I ended up buying the mask online, but if you’re thinking of purchasing it, it is also sold at Sephora’s in the US (for $48) and at CultBeauty if you live in England!

‘Summer Fridays’, the cosmetic brand recently came out with a newer version of the mask than the one I am talking about. I don’t have the new edition but I’ve heard very good things about it too. The new mask is an overnight exfoliant mask with a pumpkin based hydrating formula. So, it is perfect for the fall. If you like the sound of the mask I tried and you want a nice fall scent and want an overnight mask then you should order the newer version!  I ordered the original 10-Minutes hydrating mask and here are my thoughts on it after trying it out a couple times!
My first impression when I saw the mask and what I immediately thought to myself was: ‘oh my this is thick’. The ‘Jetlag Hydrating Mask’ feels a lot like a thick hand cream! I put the smallest amount on both of my cheeks, my chin, and my forehead. I then blended the product around my skin. When I first saw the mask I thought it would feel very heavy on my skin although, It actually felt really light and fresh. Now fast forwarding 10-Minutes I took the mask off. The product barely dried up but I just rinsed it off. As soon as I took it off my skin it felt so soft! I felt like I had just put a drop of oil on my face, literally! It definitely gives you a little glow and freshness! I would completely recommend this before or after a long day of work. Especially for the winter when your skin gets really dry!
This mask will officially be in my fall/winter favourites and I can’t wait to bring it with me everywhere I go! I also love the packaging which is a major bonus. It’s so minimalistic, pretty and aesthetically pleasing! Another thing that I love about this brand is that they’re paraben free, cruelty-free, vegan, sulfate free and that they don’t use any synthetic dyes or fragrances! It’s so nice to know that you’re putting something not at all harmful and completely clean and healthy onto your skin! To me keeping good care of your skin is so important, so, I think that it is always a good thing to look at the labels of your products.
If I pass by a Sephora later this month in Los Angeles I might try and grab the new overnight one! Who knows I might even write a review about it…
Let me know if you guys liked this post and if you’ve heard of the Summer Friday’s Masks! If you buy the mask I hope you love it just as much as I did!
Lot’s of LOVE, as always,
