FROM ALL-BLACK TO BABY-BLUE:​ 10 BEST DRESSED AT THE 2018 MTV AWARDS

Hey guys! I hope everyone’s doing good. As most of you probably already know, the annual MTV Awards took place a couple days ago in Los Angeles. So, I thought why not present you all with a list of my favorite looks from the event! In the past, I have only ever received positive feedback from these types of posts so let me know in the comments below if you like this one too! Considering I have a lot of fun making them, I will hope to do this again soon! Anyways, let’s move onto the music and tv stars and evidently, their fashion! Without further ado, here are my 10 favorite looks from the 2018 MTV awards! I’ll be sure to mention how they made the cut and why so make sure you read the comment below each outfit! Enjoy!

First, on my list today is the stunning “Riverdale” actress who rocked the MTV awards right – with a simple, black-transparent dress paired with silver heels! She wore quite dainty makeup but kept it cool with black eye-liner. I love her casual hairdo but even more so, its stunning blonde color! Overall I think her Izeta dress was really pretty and showed her to be the cute girl that she is! Definitely one of my favorite looks from this year’s awards!

Whenever I write a post about my favorite looks from an event, I know that if Zendaya attended, she will definitely make it to the the list! From her look at the Oscars (read HERE) to her look at the Met Gala (read HERE), she’s honestly impressed me so many times. Although for this event, she described her look as an “unwrapped, caramel filled Hershey’s kiss” via her Instagram, I thought she looked great! She’s been wearing a lot of beautiful brown dresses recently which evidently complement her skin tone! I loved her side-parted curled hairdo and her huge, round, golden earrings, which collectively complemented her bronzed and shimmery makeup perfectly! The color and shape of the dress are again, super unique and cool and I love how Zendaya (and her stylist of course), kept the look sustained with similarly colored shoes!

The “Everything, everything” and “Hunger Games” actress looked young and edgy in her Louis Vuitton outfit. I love everything (haha get it) about this look, from her laced up black shoes to her stunning red cropped blouse. The red detailing in her hair complemented her use of color whereas the skirt and shoes made for a great, black contrast. I loved her warm-brown colored makeup and again, her hairdo was perfection!

Katherine looked really elegant at the awards celebration this year! In a custom Armani black jumpsuit and a velvet overskirt, she definitely stunned the masses. I love her all-black outfit and the classic-yet-slightly-gothic black bow in her hair. She wore several silver earrings which added to the grungier side of the look and confirmed this masculinity through heavily black and metallic blue eye-makeup! Her rings were also pretty cool and I love her pointed heels, confirming yet again Katherine’s undeniable class.

Mandy looked super edgy in a short sparkly silver dress by Carolina Herrera. She styled it with a low-ponytail and middle-parted hairdo, and delicate jewelry and heels. I love her long earrings, which pair perfectly with her black strapped stilettos. Even more so, I’m in love with her black and silver smokey eye look, which successfully brings the whole look together!

Although definitely more casual than the rest, I still liked this look. The Stranger Things’ actress looked fresh and youthful, wearing a sequinned gold and pink blazer, paired with a white tee and light-wash blue jeans. I love how Sadie parted her hair and left it very natural looking, which ties in perfectly with her almost invisible make look! Although her shoes hint at a more doll-like persona, her many ear piercings offer a different perspective! Grunge yet dainty? And youthful and vibrant? What more could you ask for? I’m impressed.

This ensemble was honestly one of my favorite looks from the night! I’m obsessed with this baby blue colored Tory Burch suit which perfectly compliments Yara’s skin tone. I love how she (and her stylist) assembled this look, where every element from the nude heels to the elegant earrings come together perfectly! Even her hair, which is slightly disheveled and loose in the front, creating an almost fringe-look, still remains faultlessly shaped everywhere else. Finally, her makeup is also super pretty and chic! Obsessed is just not the word!

Madelaine, also known as Cheryl Blossom from “Riverdale” totally looked the part with her long gown from Prada! She kept it simple by wearing no jewelry yet spiced it up with a side-parted classic hairdo. I love the light pink color of the dress and adore its floor-length attributes!

Nick kept it cool at this year’s MTV Awards with an all-black ensemble. His leather jacket added a slight rock-vibe to the look, making for a great contrast with the bohemian-style shirt underneath! The black leather shoes and fitted pants tied the whole look together and his combed-back-hair successfully made the ladies drool yet again!

Playing a role far more demanding than any of her recent comedic characters, last night Tiffany took on the prime position of the hostess. To complement and confirm this superiority, she wore a silver and white Galia Lahav dress, turning heads for both its color and shape. She pulled her hair back in a sleek low ponytail, confirming the elegance of the entire look. Tiffany paired her dress with a pair of mirror-like silver stilettos and dainty diamond earrings!
