SIDE BY SIDE WITH THE STARS – AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR AFTER PARTY

After the unbelievable and incredible experience I just lived through at the premiere (read my post about that HERE), I headed to the after party. Coming from such a phenomenon, I truly had no idea what to expect. Before reading this post you should definitely check the first one out and if you already have, here we go!
.
Keep in mind that while walking the purple carpet during the day, our contact quietly mentioned that the place to see the celebrities was the after party as all the cast members would be there and inevitably, their friends would be too… This casual bit of news left me well, quite frankly over the moon. This is how it all went…
.
Once the celebrations of the premiere itself had died down and while we were still super shocked as to how spectacular the movie was, my brother and I made our way straight to the venue of the after party, a mall. Upon our arrival we walked up several stairs and then took an escalator… this whole part ended up being quite the adventure as my Fendi dress was well, impractical and very, very long, making the entire ‘gettin up to top floor’ trip a tiresome endeavor.
.
When we finally got to the entrance, security checked our passes and then suddenly, my brother and I were smack in the middle of everything. Above the entrance was a huge letter A, evidently to symbolize the Avengers and celebrate Marvel’s 10 year birthday. With said A was Thanos’ Infinity Gautlet, forcing me to scream inside from mere excitement but keep really cool on the outside of course!
.
We then walked in and were immediately greeted by a stand offering the same Marvel toys which we had seen on the purple carpet. There were also a few photo booths with cool Infinity War backgrounds, loads of buffets and finally a very long bar with countless drink options. Moreover, the entire room was filled with sofas and tables, each named after a specific actor in the movie!
.
While comprehending all of the crazy stimulus in front of us, Danai Gurira, who played the role of Okoye in Black Panther, walked right past us! As she stars in this particular movie, there were inevitably several bodyguards close by but nevertheless, it was brilliant to see her. After this, my brother and I had the splendid opportunity to speak with Mark Ruffalo, otherwise known as The Hulk… who was amazingly down to earth and super kind. He took some pictures with us and then wished us luck in our individual careers!
.
After that amazing encounter, my brother suggested we walk into the balcony to get a bit of fresh air. We did exactly that and then bumped into Wyatt Oleff (again). He was with someone that looked like they could have been his mother so we decided to go over and start a conversation. Just like Ruffalo, he was very nice and spoke kindly and in a very chilled out manner. His mother figure looked so proud of him, to the extent that it made my brother and I miss our very own mom…
.
Anyways, after that cute and refreshing talk, we went back in to get some water as the chatting and walking had gotten us both feeling rather dehydrated. We then walked around the tables for a bit to both explore and encounter! Throughout this adventure, we saw Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther), Chris Hemsworth (Thor) and Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange)! They were all talking with everyone there and seemed to be having the time of their lives. This guided us nicely into their pool of celebrities, running us into Tom Hiddleston (Loki), who I don’t know if you knew, is one of my absolute favorite! Anyways, he happened to be knee-deep in some intense conversation so we decided to not interrupt him and instead just admired from a distance.
.
We then saw Taika Waititi (the director of Thor: Ragnarok who also starred as Korg in the movie)… While gazing at all these stars, we sat down and just enjoyed the music of the event. Amidst the chaos and the laughter was very entertaining music, run by a DJ who only and I repeat, only, played the soundtracks of Black Panther, Guardians of the Galaxy and well inevitably, this movie.
.
After the chilling, my brother and I wondered back into the balcony and bumped right into Karen Gillan (Nebula), who had a really pretty long tight dress on and looked absolutely stunning! We then talked to some other guests and met a ton of really nice and interesting people! While talking to them, out of the corner of my eye, I noticed that Tom Hiddleston was heading straight to us. So I, with my brother’s encouragement, took the opportunity to start up a conversation. He spoke of the movie and the party, asked me loads of questions about Switzerland and then waltzed on over to another crowd. Starstruck would be an understatement in this situation… He also explained a few of his director’s artistic choices and even complimented me on my dress! Again, I was over the moon and practically on cloud 9.
.
My brother and I then went back to grab another drink and then saw Micheal Rooker who played Yondu in Guardians of the Galaxy, and Merle in The Walking Dead!! We also saw Paul Rudd who is better known as the Ant-Man! Again, they were both talking to producers, so we decided not to interrupt. We just simply enjoyed our drinks and then slowly said our goodbyes and made a discrete exit. Although the party was not failing in energy, it was feeling like it was close to its end, so my brother and I took it upon ourselves to decide to deal with the dress-going-down-stairs endeavor sooner rather than later.
.
While leaving, Micheal Rooker stood right next to us meaning that yet again, we spoke of our encounter at the Walker Stalker convention that had taken place the previous year! We took a picture together and he said to me, “this is the most beautiful selfie I’ve taken all night“. Like always, he was super nice to me and complimented me on my outfit and my conversation skills! Haha
.
Leaving the building, I took a few last pictures with my brother and then we got into our car and drove to the hotel. On our way there I couldn’t stop thinking about how crazy my day had been… From walking a purple carpet to watching the premiere of a movie to attending an after party?! I felt so beyond lucky. Exceeding my greatest expectations, I felt fulfilled and again, for the third time, I felt over the moon. Can’t wait for another one!
.
LOVE – as always,
Tiffany Lea
